Where it runs
Where does Exalt Reserve run?
Inside the customer's own AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environment. Exalt deploys the platform there. The customer keeps control of the infrastructure, data, and models.
Is it a shared service hosted by Exalt?
No. It runs in your own cloud account. It is not an Exalt-hosted shared service.
Does Exalt run anything outside our account?
Yes. Exalt runs a management plane outside your account. It holds no customer content.
Which clouds can it deploy into?
AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
Which models does it run?
Open-weight models, self-hosted in your account: Llama, Mistral, Qwen, Gemma, and DeepSeek.
Does it use Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, or Vertex?
Exalt Reserve's focus and default is open models, self-hosted in your account. Whether a use case also uses an outside AI service, such as one of those, and which models run, is decided with you for that use case.
Are these open source LLMs?
They are open-weight models: their weights are published, so they can run in your own account. Each family comes with its publisher's own license terms.
How is this different from Exalt Edge?
Edge is dedicated Exalt hardware in your building. Reserve is the same platform in a cloud account you already own. Exalt Hybrid runs both.
What you keep
- The cloud subscription and the bill stay yours.
- Data, models, vector stores, and credentials stay in your environment.
- Network, identity, and access policy stay under your control.
Access, security, and cost
Is there a public endpoint?
No. People reach Exalt Reserve only from your private network.
How do people sign in?
With your own identity provider: Microsoft, Okta, or Google.
Can people see documents they could not open themselves?
Search respects the permissions set on source documents. Connected sources keep the permissions set in the source system.
Can our own applications call it?
Yes, through an API. Like the rest of Exalt Reserve, it has no public endpoint.
Where are audit records kept?
In your own cloud account. Questions, answers, the sources shown and admin actions are recorded with who and when.
Who decides how long prompts and answers are kept?
Your admin sets how long they are kept, and can delete them.
Is our data encrypted?
Yes. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
Can our security team see how it is installed?
How the install is packaged, encryption keys, and regions are available to your security team on request.
Who pays for the cloud?
You do. The account and the subscription stay in your name, and the infrastructure cost stays on your bill.
What does Exalt Reserve cost?
It depends on your users, your workloads, and the models you run. There is no published price, and there are no per-prompt or token usage fees. Support is included.
